Open House Architecture organized a visit to Lesotho to document a select group of schools designed between 1982-1987 by Professor Iain Low. Iain Low took us around and shared with us some valuable insights of how to design and build with limited means. We share some images of the event which was held on Saturday 31 August 2013.

ReplyDeleteThe visit to Lesotho organized by Open House Architecture provided a unique opportunity to explore the thoughtful and resourceful school designs by Professor Iain Low. His approach to building with limited means is a valuable lesson in sustainable and context-sensitive architecture. Projects like these highlight the importance of innovative design in addressing real-world challenges, particularly in regions where resources are scarce. Documenting and sharing these works not only preserves their architectural significance but also inspires future generations to think creatively about building for education and community development.
